Ahh, don't we all love a self-indulgent armpit sniffing photo. You must be so tired of seeing this lace top, perhaps I'll get some new clothes in the near future... perhaps not. Times are dire: even in charity shops, you now have to physically dive deep into the sea of jersey - M&S V-necks and Next cardigans, anyone? - to find something interesting. OK, I exaggerate, because I did find this Orla Kiely-esque skirt for 75p. The 'Atmosphere' isn't that bad in there I suppose (those who shop in Primark and charity shops will appreciate this pun, if not, I will enlighten you: 'Atmosphere' is the most expensive designer brand a UK resident could ever purchase. Kate Middleton covets it and sends wistful evil looks to lucky owners. She smiles, but behind her teeth there is green venom a-bubbling.). No, I shouldn't complain; overall, they still do me mighty proud. Just please, stop pricing brand new dresses still with original tags that clearly say £6 on them at £8 or sometimes even £10. How dar'st thou, Salvation Army. Hang yo' head in shame.

I am a sucker for anything lace, which had lead to a rather full wardrobe of them! The skirt is lovely - absolute find!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous outfit and pictures, I love lace, so never sick of it :) x
ReplyDeleteVery pretty skirt! Sometimes our thrift shops get a little cocky with their prices too. Ours does a color of the week though, so anything with a specific color tag is 50% off. I always go for those items! haha
ReplyDeleteI love your oversized clutch! Very lovely.
ReplyDeleteLace top aside, I love how you've styled it! :)

You look so cute! Lovely, really.
ReplyDeleteAh Atmosphere, the stuff of fashion legend. In one of my local charity shops one day I spotted both a shiny new looking DKNY Jeans tweed jacket and a Atmosphere day dress with belt and slip missing for the same price. o.O
ReplyDeleteI wish I could find some 75p bargains! Though a glorious £1 shop did open last year which is very popular.
That skirt is a great find!

ReplyDeleteMy favourite thing is when Ebay sellers list something as an "Atmosphere" skirt/ dress/ top. Oh, come off it. We all know where you bought it!
